Recently (July, 2019), I hosted an unverified one (Vietnamese origin) with fake name and no hosting & surfing reference, but personal for 3 nights. An it seems like he is a thief, but tried so hard to be a visitor...
When I suspected that he could be working like a thief, as he really lack of traveling senses and experiences unlike wht he told and the possibility. According this, I was starting a conversation about where we have been to recently and lets share our passports to see, as he said he went throughout asia for 6 month.
He made up a story immediately as his passport was gone. Then, I helped contacting embassy and will lead him to police station to report the disappearance of passport that he said he will take a flight to LA, US next day. So I said to him that I can help printing the copy of scanned passport as embassy and police might ask for the identity. Suddenly, he found his passport and kept it, didn't mention about the topic that let's share the experience and where we visited. And as of this, I still din't know one identity....
And for last day, I took him to train station to airport, but he was like got out from the train station? After that his whatsapp was gone. Then I arrived home, I checked my cash that I prepared for upcoming trip to the Philippines. And I found that he went away with some amount of cash in his hand and immediately deactivated their own CS account... The name of thief visitor still be my mystery...

Update today:
When I try to see my browsing history on web browser and I found 1, a Vietnamese that used host him (Which the account is newly created) so I ask out about the contacts if they still keep reaching out. But I got a response that he could never do that. And I got blocked. And I found out they look quite the same, like a family... And I immedietly remember that when I hosted the thief, all of his belogings have a lot of Vietnamese notes. And also the documents, snacks that he has are all Vietnamese.

But I try to point out what kind of people should be careful is here:
1. low CS response rate (like 10%)
2. unverified profile - seem to be takers while people ask or reach them, but no respond but seeking out only host??
3. fake name / no one profile (unreachable identity over the internet)
4. no reference
